About eBA System Non Standard Statistics
The list of non standard statistics I include in the eBA Basketball Statistics Creative Analysis is very large, and it is difficult to give out of a context of an exposition, explaining each concept.
The whole list, including concepts and application, is published in eBA ONLINE.
Here are, never the less, some few examples:
1. Deflections for turnovers;
2. Defensive Penetrations Allowed - zone, player and game situation;
3. Defensive Penetrations stopped - in the area ? after the dribble ? etc. ...;
3. Assists in paint, outside of paint, leading to a layup, etc. ...;
4. Rebounds in traffic, Rebounds from free throws, etc. ...;
5. Turnovers - forced, unforced y rule violation turnovers by type (traveling, 3"...), etc.
6. Rebounds - disputed or undisputed; with numerical advantage; according to shots; side of the backboard; distance from the backboard, etc.
7. ... etc.
And, with reference to the minutes played stat, remember that, when using 48-minutes stats, the larger the difference in minutes played, the less reliable this comparison will be.
Although eBA Basketball Statistics Creative Analysis System uses this method, on the later same idea: the fewer minutes a player has played, the less likely his per-48 stats are to reflect what he'd do in extended time.
