Basketball Statistics Analysis Referred Concepts:
eBA System Non-conventional Statistics

"... What follows are some of the non-conventional statistics I include in the eBA Basketball Statistics Analysis System in order to establish which have the strongest effect on basketball games success.

• Deflections, deflections for turnovers; etc.;

• Defensive penetrations permitted, defensive penetrations stopped (did we stop our man from penetrating in the paint before he shot or gave up his dribble); etc.;

• Assists in paint, assists outside of paint, assists leading to jump shots, assists leading to layups, assists leading to foul shots, and at all these categories, if are they part of fast break or not; etc.;

• Rebounds in traffic, rebounds from free throws; disputed rebounds; undisputed rebounds; close and long rebounds; etc.;

• Shot percentages - location zone of shot, and whether guarded or open; etc.;

• Turnovers - forced, unforced, rule violation turnovers by type (traveling, 3 seconds, illegal lane invasion, goaltending, palming, etc.); etc.;

• Touches - what frequency, where, duration in seconds, conclusion (pass, assist, shot, turnover as a percentage of total touches); etc.;

• Charges made and taken, blocks made and given; etc.;

• Blocks above head, blocks that were steals, fouls on block attempts by each category; etc.;

• Steals occurred causing an opponent turnover, forced by defense ( i.e., causing an opponent 5 seconds out-of-bounds violation, preventing our man from crossing 8 sec line, or guarding our opponents leading to a 24 seconds clock violation ); etc. ..."
