October Case Study Conclusion in our Basketball Statistician's Digest:
"... A missed shot comes off the rim and bounces along the floor. A2 is in a position to pick up the ball when A3 fouls B3...
• (a) before A2 can touch the ball,
• (b) as A2 touches the ball or
• (c) after A2 gains control of the ball...
What is the statistical registration according to the eBA Basketball Statistics Analysis System in each one of the given situations, including the type of the registration ( forced, unforced, neutral, etc...) ? ..."

Conclusion:
In (a), credit Team B with a dead-ball TEAM rebound and register the continuation of the play.
In (c), credit A2 with an individual UNDISPUTED rebound and charge A3 with a UNFORCED turnover in addition of the NEGATIVE foul made by A3 and the POSITIVE foul received by B3.
In (b), the actions of the officials will determine the ruling.
If A2 had gained control, then the foul by A3 will be a player-control NEGATIVE foul and register a POSITIVE foul received by B3.
In this case, credit A2 with an individual UNDISPUTED rebound and charge A3 with an UNFORCED turnover.
If A2 had not gained control, then the foul by A3 will not be a player-control foul, therefore register a NEUTRAL foul made by A3, a POSITIVE foul received by B3 and credit Team B with a dead-ball TEAM rebound.
