Added today to the eBA Encyclopedia: Measures of Dispersion

"... Measures of dispersion give us an index of how spread your data is around the measures of central tendency. You can use it to see if your participants’ scores cluster around your average or are spread widely from your average. It is possible to have roughly equal averages but vastly differing dispersion figures for different groups.

There are three main measures of dispersion. They are the range , the variance and the standard deviation. ..."
