Statistician's Digest: Linear Weights

There are several different types of linear weights out there, some of which have names. TENDEX is the most common name, though the formula associated with this name depends on who is using it: see Formulas Revision in the Formulas section of our site.
Basically linear weights claims to obtain points or a mark from a formula (see our TENDEX at: eBA Basketball Statistics Creative Analysis System ).
The result is scaled by a factor that accounts for whether the team or player played at faster or slower pace than normal, by a simple example.
